Santa Clara Elementary provides a safe, nurturing environment which helps to foster our long-standing commitment to academic excellence. Our community of students, parents, and staff are dedicated to the 21st century skills needed to succeed in the information age.
At the Little Red Schoolhouse, we strive to motivate students to be critical and creative thinkers, collaborators, and communicators. Our highly qualified teaching and support staff engage in both reflective and responsive teaching practices to support all students in reaching their fullest potential intellectually, socially, physically and personally.
Our small school is equally committed to providing our students with a vibrant arts program, including residencies with a visual artist from the Artist in the Classroom Program, a music program exposing all students to various composers and instruments, and a band program for students in grades four through six. In addition, students in grades K-6th work with a resident drama coach and perform in an all-school musical production at the end of the school year.
Students are provided with one to tone laptops and Chromebooks, iPads, and interactive flat panels in each classroom to support our multi-grade groupings and differentiated instruction. Through these collaborative experiences, our students become responsible citizens and life-long learners.
